Evgeny Kuznetsov Doesn’t Miss A Beat; Scores In Game 3
7 years agoWashington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov left Game 2 in the first period, and was deemed a game-time decision for Game 3. Owners should have known his outlook was slightly promising, given that Kuznetsov was a participant in the Caps’ optional practice, and those that started him for Game 3 reaped the benefits. Kuznetsov had an assist on Alex Ovechkin’s goal and scored the game-winner later in the second period. The 26-year-old showed no ill-effects of the hit that forced him from Game 2, flapping his wings as usual in celebration of his tally in Game 3. Kuznetsov has been a beast this postseason, and managed to insure his position as the top scorer of these playoffs Saturday. He’s a no-brainer start if healthy.
