Evan Turner 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoAtlanta Hawks guard/forward Evan Turner was traded this offseason from the Trail Blazers to the Hawks for Kent Bazemore. Turner is slated to be the primary backup for Trae Young at the point and coach Lloyd Pierce has gone ahead and said that he plans on playing Turner in positions one through four. Turner is coming off a season that saw him average a career-low 22.0 minutes a night, yet he still managed to post 3.9 assists with 4.5 rebounds. Turner was more of a streamer last season across most standard formats, but with there not being any other point guards on the Hawks' roster for the upcoming season, we could see Turner and his minutes take an uptick with his multiple position abilities. He is a tough pick in standard formats, but for leagues that are 14 teams or deeper, he should be owned in both category league and standard leagues. To add, if Young ever misses anytime, make sure to grab him off the wire.
