3 months agoDallas Stars defenseman Esa Lindell has agreed to a five-year, $26.25 million extension. The new deal locks Lindell up through the 2029-30 season, with the 30-year-old set to play out the final campaign of his current six-year, $34.8 million contract in 2024-25. Lindell has been Mr. Reliable for Dallas for a number of years and hasn't even missed a single game across the last two seasons. He notched 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) last term and led the team with 162 blocks. Lindell's numbers should be there or thereabouts again in 2024-25 as he continues to chuck up massive minutes as a vital part of the team's defense.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
