Erik Jones Has Huge DFS Upside at Texas This Weekend
8 months agoDon't sleep on Erik Jones in this weekend's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. The Legacy Motor Club driver qualified back in 27th for this weekend's race, and although the No. 43 team wasn't able to find a ton of speed in practice or qualifying, this track type is a good one for Jones. Since the start of the 2023 season, Jones has the 18th-best average driver rating on the 1.5-mile tracks, and most of those races were completed when he was still driving a Chevrolet. Now, Erik has a high-powered Toyota to race with, which should help him this weekend. Here at Texas specifically, Jones has finished 12th or better in eight of the 10 races since the track was repaved back in 2017. At Las Vegas earlier this year, he came home in 14th-place after starting 22nd. While the $7,000 salary on DraftKings isn't an ideal one to work with when building lineups, the place differential upside for Erik Jones is definitely there this weekend for him to find himself in the top lineups at Texas.
