Eric Comrie Makes First Start Of Season
1 year agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie will get his first taste of action this season on Saturday against the Islanders. The Devon Levi (lower body) era is well underway in Buffalo, but he sustained a lower-body injury Thursday against the Flames and will need some time off to recover. Comrie had his first season with the Sabres last term and put together a decent 9-9-1 record, but he relied heavily on the team's offense to bail him out. The 28-year-old produced a lowly .888 save percentage and allowed 3.67 goals. Buffalo catches the Islanders on the second night of a back-to-back and has won five straight home outings in the matchup, so Comrie looks well-positioned to have a good outing in his season debut.
