Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez was placed on the 7-day minor league injured list on Monday with a right hip injury. The Twins' second-ranked prospect is heading full-speed into "injury prone" status, missing parts of the last few seasons with various ailments. Last year, the left-handed slugger played in only 47 games due to multiple hand-related injuries. The Dominican offers big-time power and draws a ton of walks (21.7 percent career BB%), but was 3-for-17 (.176) over his last eight games (8:7 BB:K) before the hip injury and has an atrocious 35.0 percent strikeout rate through 39 games at Triple-A this season. However, if this is a minimal stint on the IL and he can get on a roll when he returns, the 22-year-old could still be in line for a major league debut later this year.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
