Drew Smyly Unlikely To Make Impact For Cubs In 2018
7 years agoStarting pitcher Drew Smyly (elbow) is unlikely to make a contribution to his new team in 2018. Smyly is recovering from Tommy John surgery and likely would not be able to pitch until very late in the season, if at all. The Cubs are banking on his contributions in 2019 as he was signed to a two-year deal. Smyly has always shown strong signs as a starting pitcher, but don't look for him to be a fantasy contributor this year.
