Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty won't suit up for Friday's Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights, as he has been suspended for one game for a high hit on William Carrier, which the league calls an "illegal check to the head." Losing Doughty is a huge blow for the Kings, as they are already without Jake Muzzin (upper body). Doughty played over 28 minutes in the opener against Vegas, so there will be a lot of minutes to be handed out to others by head coach John Stevens. Alec Martinez will likely get promoted to the first power-play unit and Dion Phaneuf will get a bigger role as well.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
