DeSean Jackson Not Expected to Play Again in 2019
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is not expected to play again in the 2019 season. Jackson will undergo surgery to repair a core muscle on Tuesday. It usually comes with a 4-6 week recovery at minimum, leaving Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor as the top wide receiving options for the Eagles for the remainder of the season. Mack Hollins will be a distant third wide receiver, but tight end Dallas Goedert has essentially filled that role. It's a blow to an Eagles offense that has become quite predictable and is generally unable to make any deep connections.
