DeSean Jackson 2021 Outlook: We Will Be Lucky To See Three Good Games
4 years agoDeSean Jackson is one of the best deep-threat wide receivers ever, but he has not played more than five games in a season since 2018. D-Jax will be 35 at the end of the season and his best days are surely behind him, but he can still have an impact for the Los Angeles Rams. Even though he is old, he can still fly. His presence on the field opens up the entire offense because defenses can't let him get behind them. The threat of Jackson's big-play potential will also limit the number of times the defense can put eight men in the box, and prevent consistent double teams on Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. While that is all well and good, all we care about is his fantasy production, which will be minimal. He is likely to put up one or two explosive games at some point throughout the season, but figuring out when they will come is a fool's game. His recent injury history is also very worrisome. We will be lucky to see him play five games, which means he is firmly off the redraft radar. I don't hate using your last pick on him in Best Ball though, but that is far as I'm willing to go on Jackson.
