Derrick Jones Jr. Signing With Clippers
Free agent forward Derrick Jones Jr. is taking his talents to Los Angeles. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the former NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion plans to ink a three-year, $30 million contract with the Clippers. Jones Jr. moves on from Dallas after spending just one season with the Mavericks. The 27-year-old scored a career-high 8.6 points in 2023-24 and tallied 3.3 rebounds in 23.5 minutes. Jones Jr. has proven that he's much more than simply a high-flying forward, and he looks set for a successful campaign in L.A., likely slotting in as Paul George's replacement in the starting unit.
