Derrick Jones Jr. Signing With Clippers
6 months agoFree agent forward Derrick Jones Jr. is taking his talents to Los Angeles. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the former NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion plans to ink a three-year, $30 million contract with the Clippers. Jones Jr. moves on from Dallas after spending just one season with the Mavericks. The 27-year-old scored a career-high 8.6 points in 2023-24 and tallied 3.3 rebounds in 23.5 minutes. Jones Jr. has proven that he's much more than simply a high-flying forward, and he looks set for a successful campaign in L.A., likely slotting in as Paul George's replacement in the starting unit.
