Denny Hamlin Rounds Out The Top Five
2 years agoDenny Hamlin started the Wurth 400 in the 13th position and quickly moved into the top five. With Stage 1 coming to a close, Hamlin challenged William Byron for the top spot but settled for second. He continued to run in the top five throughout the race, finishing fifth at the end of Stage 2. The Joe Gibbs Racing team had a strong day, with all four cars running in the top 10 in the final stage. Trying as he may, Hamlin was never able to get to the lead, ultimately finishing fifth. The finish was a strong one as JGR was the top team with Martin Truex Jr. getting the win, Hamlin finishing fifth, and Christopher Bell right behind him in sixth. Ty Gibbs had another strong day, finishing 13th.
