Dee Gordon To Bring Elite Speed To Top Of Mariners Lineup
7 years agoNewly acquired Seattle Mariners outfielder Dee Gordon will be charged with jump-starting an inconsistent Mariners offense in 2018. Gordon last season hit .308 with nine triples, 33 runs batted in, 60 stolen bases, 114 runs scored and 201 hits. The speedster can be a game-changer at the top of the lineup and he will be replacing veteran outfielder Jarrod Dyson in the outfield. With Gordon and shortstop Jean Segura now in the mix, the Mariners have two impressive table-setters at the top of their lineup. The left-handed hitting Gordon played in 158 games last year and can be deployed in lineups against any matchup (.293 batting average against left-handers in 2017). His speed also represents an elite skill at a category in fantasy that can be hard to find production in; stolen bases. In seven major league seasons Gordon now has 278 stolen bases and should easily swipe 30-50 bags in 2018. Gordon is the type of fantasy asset that can make for a well rounded roster.
