David Price Looks Great In Shortened Return
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price returned from the injured list to start Tuesday, spanning five innings, allowing two unearned runs, on four hits, while striking out four, and walking none in a 12-2 win over Toronto. The 33-year-old wasn't particularly filthy, but he was effective, throwing 48 of 67 pitches for strikes. Despite the team taking the cautious approach with Price's return, he was still able to earn the win after just five innings, improving his record to 2-2 on the year. If the Red Sox keep the lefty on a normal schedule, his next outing will land on Saturday against the Astros in Houston. Price can be started in all formats but be wary of a tough matchup with one of the best lineups in baseball.
