David Moore Returns To The Field
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver David Moore finally got into the action for the first time on Sunday, but he only caught one pass on the afternoon. As expected, Moore's catch was a nifty one that featured him coming back and around a defender to be able to reach the wet, slippery ball, but the lack of chances continues to limit his potential. Moore was initially pegged as the team's likely No. 2 receiver, but it looks like everyone's infatuated with D.K. Metcalf so far, so Moore's looking more like he'll be battling for table scraps. His incredible acrobatics will allow him to make highlight reels often, but it doesn't look like he'll be hitting box scores as regularly.

David Moore Scores A Touchdown In Week 18
3 months agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver David Moore hauled in a nine-yard touchdown in the Panthers' 44-38 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The touchdown reception was his only catch on the afternoon, and he only saw three targets. Quarterback Bryce Young hit nine different receivers in this one, which meant the receiving production was very distributed amongst the offense. For the season, Moore had 351 receiving yards on 32 receptions and three touchdowns. Moore, who is 29 years old, is on a one-year contract with the Panthers, so his future with them is undoubtedly up in the air. With the Panthers being a young team, bringing Moore back as a veteran presence may make sense. However, the Panther's focus will likely revolve around their first-round pick, Xavier Legette, heading into the 2025 season. Moore will not be a recommended fantasy option for managers in 2025.

David Moore Not A Strong Start Against The Falcons
3 months agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver David Moore was limited to one catch for 17 yards in the Panthers' Week 17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moore has been inconsistent during the season, putting up less than five fantasy points twelve times while scoring more than 10 only two times. Throughout the season, he earned a 10.4% target share, and when we are looking at players to start in fantasy, we need more volume than that. Fantasy managers can keep Moore on the bench in Week 18 versus the Atlanta Falcons. Moore comes in as WR91 in the latest RotoBaller wide receiver rankings for Week 18.

David Moore Sees One Target In Blowout Loss
3 months agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver David Moore was unable to get much going in the team's 48-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The 29-year-old registered one catch for 17 yards on one target while playing 32% of the offensive snaps. This was the first game he saw fewer than three targets since Week 7 when he didn't get targeted at all. Moore's next chance to bounce back will be against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18.

David Moore A Desperation Flex Play In Week 17
3 months agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver David Moore should be viewed as a desperation flex option in deeper formats in Week 17 when he faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While he has seen a solid 6.2 targets per game over his past four contests, Moore has only averaged 3.2 receptions per game. During this span he has tallied just 40.8 yards per game while being deployed as the No.3/No.4 wide receiver in this offense. However, with Xavier Legette (hip) listed as questionable, Moore could have a path to be a starting option this weekend. In addition, with top running back Chuba Hubbard (knee) on the IR, the Panthers may need to rely on their passing attack to keep up with Tampa Bay. Facing a weak Tampa Bay Secondary that has allowed the sixth-most PPR points to opposing wideouts still makes Moore a risky flex option given his placement on the depth chart.
