David Moore Comes Up Huge For Seahawks
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver David Moore didn't set any records like his teammate D.K. Metcalf did, but he played a huge role in Sunday's win against the Eagles. First, while working as the team's punt returner, Moore made a fair catch on Philly's first punt. However, the Eagles' gunner apparently completely missed it, and he proceeded to make a perfect form tackle on Moore, much to his surprise. The 15-yard penalty gave Seattle great field position and led to their first scoring opportunity. Moore would become even more important near the end of the first half though. On a 3rd-and-10 outside field goal range, Moore caught a comeback pass well short of the first down marker while running back towards the line of scrimmage. He was able to drop his man and dash around the outside, picking up a blocker along the way. 38 yards later, he was finally brought down, and his gain would lead to Seattle scoring the first of their two touchdowns on the day.
