Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery put up a modest fantasy performance in the Week 9 win over the Green Bay Packers, finishing well outside of the top 15 RBs this week. Montgomery led the team in rushing with 17 carries for 73 yards, outpacing teammate Jahmyr Gibbs, but he was held out of the end zone for only the second time this season. He contributed in the passing game with three receptions for 23 yards, pushing his total to double digits in PPR leagues. However, this week marked his second-worst fantasy performance of the season, though his steady yardage and volume still make him a reliable RB2.
