2 years agoBoston Bruins forward David Backes will center the Bruins top line between forwards Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, beginning on Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Bruins forward Riley Nash had been playing center in place of the injured Patrice Bergeron (foot) on the Bruins top line, but it appears Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy is opting for a more experienced player to fill the role. Nash will move to the Bruins third line with forwards Brian Gionta and Tommy Wingels, who have also been quite productive since joining Boston at this year's trade deadline. Expect Backes’ time on ice and overall production to increase with the move. If he’s available in your league, he is certainly worth the add considering the Bruins play four games next week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.--Alex McKenzie
