Davante Adams Placed On COVID-19 List
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Defensive coordinator Joe Barry tested positive for the virus, and three other players have also been placed on the list. With their Week 8 game coming on Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals, Adams and the rest of the players that are on the COVID-19 list are highly unlikely to play this week, as they will need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared. It's unclear if Adams actually tested positive for the virus or if he's vaccinated. The 28-year-old star pass-catcher is the WR6 in fantasy after seven weeks, so his absence would be a huge loss for Green Bay and fantasy managers. Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb would likely serve as the top two pass-catchers if Adams misses Thursday's game, with tight end Robert Tonyan also seeing more targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
