Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve Sunday. He will be sitting out a fourth consecutive game when the Capitals take the ice Sunday versus Winnipeg. Kuemper has already had some time to recover and the team considers him day-to-day, but with him getting moved to Injured Reserve, the 32-year-old will need to wait a bit longer before he can return. The move is retroactive to Dec. 3, meaning Kuemper could be made available for the next game Tuesday versus Chicago. Losing Kuemper was a massive blow for Washington, but Charlie Lindgren has really stepped up in his absence, leading the team to a three-game winning streak. Lindgren has given up only four goals in total across the streak. He has improved to 5-3-2 for the year and now boasts a 2.87 goals-against average with a .907 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
