5 years agoArizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper allowed seven goals on 32 shots Thursday night before leaving the game in the third period with an injury. Adding insult to literal injury, Kuemper had given up more than three goals only once this season before this matchup and is now expected to miss time with a lower-body injury. Listed as week-to-week on Arizona's injury report, Kuemper will pass the reigns back to Antti Raanta for the time being. Raanta had been dealing with an illness that caused him to miss some games but looks to be healthy now. Arizona has had stellar goaltending to this point and has allowed the fourth-fewest goals against per game (2.49 goals per game) this season, but that will be tested now that one half of their goaltending tandem is sidelined. Kuemper is worth holding on to, but Raanta becomes a priority pickup as he is owned in only 51 percent of Yahoo! leagues.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
