Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper (upper body) is considered day-to-day and is set to miss Monday's clash with Edmonton. He got hurt at the weekend against Calgary and Hunter Shepard has come up from the AHL to cover for Kuemper whilst he recovers. In his first year in Washington, Kuemper hasn't won many games, but he has registered a strong 2.56 goals-against average with a .916 save percentage and two shutouts. With him out, the Capitals are forced to roll with Charlie Lindgren, who sits on a 3.51 goals-against average and has recorded a .890 save percentage. He has given up fewer than three goals just twice in eight appearances this season, and Monday's matchup against Connor McDavid's squad could be another rough one for Lindgren if he gets the nod.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
