According to Jeff Svoboda of the Columbus Blue Jackets, defenseman Dante Fabbro (upper body) exited early during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Stars and is expected to miss time. Head coach Dean Evason noted that the defenseman "is not going to be available to us." The Blue Jackets have three remaining games before the international break, and given this update, the 26-year-old will have an uphill battle to return to action in the coming days. Before exiting, Fabbro logged eight minutes of ice time and tallied two hits, two blocks, and two penalty minutes. Before Sunday, Fabbro tallied three points (one goal, two helpers) over his past five games. Overall, Fabbro has tallied 13 points, 45 hits, and 103 blocks over 43 games. While sidelined, Jack Johnson will likely have a role in the starting lineup.--Andy Smith
