Danielle Hunter 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Brings Consistent Production
1 year agoMinnesota edge rusher Danielle Hunter signed a one-year, $20 million contract with the team at the end of July. The Vikings, meanwhile, are in a "competitive rebuild" and have already shipped off Za'Darius Smith. The 29-year-old is considered a borderline top-12 defensive lineman. Last season, he finished as the DL9 in RotoBaller IDP Scoring. He has been incredibly consistent, having made between 10.5 and 14.5 sacks in four of his past six seasons. Since 2018, he ranks eighth in the NFL with 45.5 sacks. His only down season recently was 2021, in which, despite an injury limiting him to seven games, Hunter still made 6.0 sacks and ranked in the top ten in pass rush win rate amongst all linebackers and defensive linemen.
