Daniel Vogelbach Crushes First Homer
4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman and DH Daniel Vogelbach went 1-for-4 with a home run in Thursday's loss to the Angels. Vogelbach has only started eight of Seattle's 14 games this season and hasn't made the case for more playing time. Through his 31 plate appearances, Vogelbach only has three hits and one RBI outside of his homer Thursday. There was once a time where fantasy owners thought Vogelbach would win them a championship, but those days seem long ago. Though he is a decent source of power, power is cheap in today's baseball and Vogelbach doesn't supply enough of it for his career .202 batting average and zero steals. Vogelbach doesn't seem to be an everyday play for the Mariners and should be left on waivers.
