Dan Straily Takes Loss Sunday
7 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Dan Straily took the loss on Sunday against the Diamondbacks, pushing his record for the year to 2-2. Straily only gave up one earned run in the start, but struggled with control needing 87 pitches to go 4 1/3 innings. He issued five walks in the start while striking out four. Straily's ERA for the year sits at a reasonable 3.50 after seven starts, however he has significant control issues so far this year with a 1.39 WHIP and a 27:22 K:BB through 36 innings. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues unless he can sort these control issues out and lower his walk rate.
