Damien Harris 2023 Outlook: Potential Goal Line Back For Elite Offense
2 years agoBuffalo Bills running back Damien Harris had spurts of success in his four seasons with the New England Patriots and is now set to join one of the league's best offenses on the other side of the AFC East rivalry. Buffalo has James Cook, Latavius Murray, and Nyheim Hines on the roster, but Harris should cement himself as the lead short-yardage and goal line back. Cook projects to be the lead receiving back and could have a slight edge over Harris in total touches, but the 215-pound Alabama product who scored 15 rushing touchdowns in 2021 will likely be utilized around the end zone to take some of the pressure off Josh Allen. Harris looks to be a better standard league option than a PPR-scoring asset, but a double-digit touchdown season is well within his range of outcomes -- so he should have plenty of value in both formats and Best Ball leagues.
