The San Francisco Giants selected outfielder Dakota Jordan out of Mississippi State in the fourth round with the 116th pick. Jordan was ranked as the 34th-best prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and could prove to be a steal for the Giants down the road. The 21-year-old was a two-sport athlete for the Bulldogs before dropping football to focus solely on baseball. Jordan has some of the best bat speed in the draft to go along with a lot of strength at the dish, but he will need to work on his plate discipline to reach his full potential. He also has some of the best speed in the draft, but he's still learning how to use that to maximize his potential. If the Giants are able to coach Jordan's tools, he could wind up making the rest of MLB franchises regret passing on him.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBallerRead More News
