Dak Prescott 2019 Player Outlook: Backup Only Valuable in 2QB Leagues
5 years agoDak Prescott is a middle of the road fantasy backup that will have five or six standout performances. There are just so many quality quarterbacks to choose from in 2019, and Prescott sits in that third tier with guys like Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston. I would recommend paying attention to his schedule if you’re going to draft him. The Cowboys do have some tough games against defenses like the Patriots, Bears, Bills and Jets. Just make sure whoever your starter may be has solid matchups in those weeks. You don’t want your starter on a bye or in a tough matchup with the one time you have to use Prescott is against an elite defense. If Prescott fits your team and lines up well with your starter, he’s a great QB2 that has running upside and is safe through the air in the right matchups. Target him in the last couple rounds of your draft if you have a deep bench, and don't worry if you have to make a pivot to one of the other seven or eight quarterbacks with similar upside.
