D.K. Metcalf Catches Another TD Bomb
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf got back on his horse and turned a footrace into an easy score in Thursday's win over the Rams. Metcalf got free off the back of a play-action setup and hauled in a 40-yard bomb from quarterback Russell Wilson in the second quarter. Metcalf's speed and the play design left him ridiculously wide open, and it now makes a 25-yard or greater catch in four of his first five NFL games. Metcalf caught two of the three passes sent his way, dropping a failed two-point conversion that hit him in the hands, but 66% is the best catch percentage he's had since Week 1. He's still a boom-or-bust play due to his hands, but maybe this is a sign that things are improving.
