Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Curtis McElhinney, who's looked like Marty Brodeur at times this season, is slowly crashing back down to earth as he's lost back-to-back starts. He ended up with only 18 saves and a .783 save percentage in a 5-1 loss to San Jose on Wednesday. McElhinney still has an outstanding record for the season at 7-3-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage, but he's been a career backup and thus we can say that he's overachieved at the start of the season. The Canes are slowly falling apart as well, winning just once in their last five outings, so if you picked up McElhinney, then it might be time to start looking for an alternative.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
