Corbin Burnes Looking Dominant In July
Corbin Burnes had his best start of the year by most measures on Sunday. Facing the Cincinnati Reds, Burnes pitched 8 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, one walk and no runs while striking out 12, just one strikeout shy of his season-high. Through 21.1 innings this month, Burnes has allowed just two earned runs while striking out 25 batters and walking just two. Burnes was electric to start the year, before having a few rough starts here and there in May and June. With so many other top starting pitchers injured or struggling, Burnes is making a strong case as a top-10 fantasy pitcher the rest of the way this year. The Brewers will likely start managing his innings more closely soon, but even on a reduced workload, he should remain a dominant, must-start player in all fantasy formats.
