Connor McDavid Wins Conn Smythe Trophy
6 months agoEdmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy on Monday as the most valuable player of the 2024 NHL postseason. The Oilers captain led all players in the playoffs with 42 points in 25 games and set a new league record with 34 assists. However, he had a disappointing finish to the postseason campaign, as McDavid couldn't add any points to his tally in Monday's winner-takes-all game against Florida. He's the first player since 2003 to be selected as the playoff MVP despite being on the losing side in the Stanley Cup Final.
