Colorado Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard scored his third goal of the season Saturday night, inching him just a single goal away from matching his career-best total. Colorado earned the majority of chances in Saturday's Stadium Series showdown, outshooting the Kings 33 to 23, but Girard was the only Avalanche skater to find the back of the net. Not known for his scoring prowess, Girard also has 26 assists on the season, which is already a career-high. His fantasy value is limited by his lack of production in the periphery categories and teammate Cale Makar's hold on the top power-play unit, but in deeper leagues or points only leagues, Girard still holds enough value to be worth a spot on your bench.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
