Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick acknowledged that even if he signs a contract following Saturday's workout at Michigan, he likely won't be given a starting job right away. The 34-year-old said, "I know right now the situation likely won't allow me to come in, step into a starting role. To teams that have questions, I'd love to come in for a workout. I'd love to sit down with you and have that conversation about how I could help." Kaepernick hasn't started a game since 2016, when he went 1-10 with 2,241 passing yards but amassed an impressive 16 to four touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also rushed for 2,300 yards from 2012 to 2016. The former second-round pick hasn't returned to the league since his social-justice protests more than five years ago, but he has continued to work out, remains in great shape and has generated occasional interest from NFL teams. We'll see if Kaepernick's highly publicized throwing session on Saturday lands him the backup job he's interested in.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerRead More News
