Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield will be sidelined for about a week after suffering an upper-body injury in his team's intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday. As a result, the 20-year-old will likely miss his team's next three pre-season games but should still be ready to go by the Habs' season-opener on October 13. Having burst onto the scene with five points in 10 regular-season games and then 12 points in 20 ensuing playoff contests, Caufield is a favorite to take home league hardware as the Rookie of the Year in 2021-2022.
