Cole Beasley 2018 Outlook: The PPR Value Pick
6 years agoAfter a breakout season in 2016, Cole Beasley was a major disappointment in 2017. Honestly though, the Cowboys offense was a disappointment as a whole last year, so it’s hard to place blame on just one person. The Cowboys offense is back to full health and has the key player back that makes everything tick. This offense runs through Ezekiel Elliott and now that he is back for a full season, expect that offense to bounce back.
When things were clicking in 2016, Beasley was a solid PPR play with 833 yards and 75 catches. It was a career high in catches and yards and he became a vital safety blanket for Dak Prescott. Even with Dez Bryant on the team, Beasley still led the Cowboys in targets. The Cowboys have two new receivers on the outside in Michael Gallup and Allen Hurns and the ever-reliable Jason Witten is now gone. Prescott is going to lean on someone familiar and even though this is a run first offense, Beasley will be looking at a workload comparable to 2016. A late stash with weekly flex upside in PPR leagues will give a great return on value.
