Christopher Bell Is A Comfortable DFS Play For COTA
9 months agoJoe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell will start this week's EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas from the fourth position. The starting position is Bell's highest starting position yet at a COTA Cup race and will mark the third time he will start a Cup event there from the Top 10. In his three previous races at COTA, Bell has two DNFs due to accidents and a third-place finish scored during 2022. Despite the inconsistent history at COTA, Bell has been strong at road courses recently since he has five top-10 finishes, including a win at the Charlotte Roval in the last seven Cup races at the track type. Bell also has three top-10 finishes through the first five races this season. In practice, Bell was one of the fastest drivers by displaying top-10 speeds in both the single lap and five consecutive lap average categories. Although previous track history points to Bell being a boom or bust play for DFS, fantasy players should feel encouraged to roster him this week due to his fast equipment in pre-race events.
