Chris Martin Earns Second Save
Chris Martin was asked to close out the game in the ninth inning during Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Lately, Robert Garcia has been the closer in Texas, but it doesn't look like he was available for this game. Instead, Martin was called upon to hold a one-run lead in the final frame. The veteran right-hander tossed a scoreless inning while striking out two batters to earn his second save of the season. Martin now holds a 1.48 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and a 28/3 K/BB ratio across 24.1 innings this season. Martin isn't someone that must be rostered right now, but it looks like he's definitely a trusted option in the ninth inning.
