Chris Iannetta Snaps Bat After Strikeout
6 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Chris Iannetta shared the frustration that all Rockies hitters were feeling Friday after he struck out against Brewers reliever Joakim Soria. Hitting with no outs and a runner on third, Iannetta simply needed to put the ball in play, but he instead swung through a hanging slider over the heart of the plate. Iannetta promptly snapped his bat in half over his knee on his walk back to the dugout, making all the highlight shows. The Rockies have only tallied 10 hits and two runs combined so far in the series, and that's the main reason they're headed back to Denver to face elimination. Hopefully, Iannetta's able to destroy enough bats to find some that have hits in them.
