Chris Buescher Needs to Turn Things Around at Pocono to Keep Playoff Hopes Alive
5 months agoChris Buescher needs to stay consistent through the rest of the regular season if he wants to get into the playoffs on points, and his first challenge will come this weekend at Pocono Raceway. "The Tricky Triangle" hasn't been a very good track for the Roush-Fenway Keselowski driver, as he has finished 18th or worse in five straight attempts here. Buescher does have a win to his credit at Pocono, but it came due a strategy call in a race that was called short back in 2016. On Sunday, Buescher will start from 18th-place for The Great American Getaway 400, which gives him room for Place Differential points, but with his lackluster track record at Pocono and the No. 17 Ford only being 18th-fastest in practice on Saturday, it's hard to be entirely confident in having a lot of Buescher exposure this weekend.
