Chris Brooks 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Frozen Out In Green Bay
Chris Brooks entering the 2024 NFL campaign. He was buried in the back of the Green Bay Packers’ backfield as the RB4 and figured to see single-digit carries with workhorse Josh Jacobs and third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd. But Lloyd never got a carry as he was placed on injured reserve early in the season, which suddenly moved Brooks up a peg on the depth chart. Despite Jacobs galloping for 1,325 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns and backup Emanuel Wilson running for a solid 501 yards himself, Brooks managed to rush for his own 183 yards at an impressive 5.1 yards per clip. The problem for Brooks is that Jacobs and Wilson are still on the roster, and Lloyd should be 100 percent after his injury-plagued rookie season. Brooks might not even make the Packers Week 1 roster, let alone have any chance of getting on the field enough to have any fantasy relevance. The best thing for Brooks’ fantasy value is if Green Bay cuts him during training camp and he signs with a team where he could be the RB2 or RB3. Keep an eye on Brooks in August and see how things shake out for him. If he makes Green Bay’s final roster, that probably will make him undraftable in fantasy football.
There was not much expected out of undrafted
