2 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs restructured quarterback Patrick Mahomes' contract on Wednesday by converting $12 million of his 2023 roster bonus into a signing bonus to create $9.6 million in salary cap space this year, according to a source. It will give the reigning Super Bowl champions more flexibility in free agency. The Chiefs lost receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency to the New England Patriots and could also lose Mecole Hardman, but Mahomes has proven that he's the top dog among fantasy QBs by winning his second Super Bowl ring earlier this year. As long as he's healthy and tight end Travis Kelce is in town, it's hard to argue that any other QB should be taken ahead of Mahomes in 2023 fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
