Chase Elliott ran quite well at Daytona. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver was in the Top 5 or 10 most of the race on Monday. He even led 13 laps and won Stage 1. It was the end where the No. 9 car lost the line and positions. Elliott did end up with his third-best driver rating at the Daytona 500 (93.7). He dodged two of the biggest crashes. It was that second collector which surprised many on how Elliott missed that one. Next week might be better in Atlanta where he won in 2022 after securing the pole.
