Chase Daniel Plays Surprisingly Well in Week 4
5 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Chase Daniel was asked to come off the bench and play basically the entire game after starter Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) went down. Trubisky was taken down by a Minnesota Vikings defender and exited with a left shoulder injury in the first quarter. He headed to the locker room and shortly after that was ruled out for the game. Daniel went on to complete 22 of 30 passing attempts for 195 passing yards and a touchdown. He was able to help carry the Bears to the 16-6 victory over the Vikings in Week 4. It's unclear whether or not Trubisky will be able to play next week versus the Oakland Raiders. Daniel has some QB2 upside, assuming Trubisky is sidelined next game.
