Chase Briscoe Looking to Continue Momentum at Talladega
8 months agoChase Briscoe believes that his No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing team is further ahead and they've ever been, and the results point to that being true. Coming off the worst season of his career in 2023, Briscoe currently sits 12th in the points standings with an average finish of 14.6 through the first nine races. For comparison, his average finish was 20.3 last year. Coming into this weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway, Briscoe has finished 13th or better in five of the last six races with the exception being an 18th-place result at Richmond. Will he be able to continue building on the momentum at Talladega, though? Briscoe has finished 14th or better in five of his six career Cup Series starts at this track, so that's definitely encouraging. This weekend, he qualified 26th for the GEICO 500, so he has some work to do, but Briscoe did end up 10th in this year's Daytona 500--a similar track type to Talladega, In DraftKings, Briscoe is priced at $6,900 and is a very solid play due to his place differential potential. He could easily be one of the highest-scoring drivers on the slate this weekend.
