Chas McCormick Launches A Pair Of Solo Homers
6 months agoHouston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick went 3-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs, a stolen base, and three total runs scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He took Corbin Burnes deep in the fifth inning to give the Astros a 4-1 lead. The 29-year-old later smashed another solo shot off Bryan Baker in the bottom of the eighth inning for the second long ball of the game. The 29-year-old had his best game of the season and is now slashing .225/.286/.358 over 133 plate appearances in 2024. McCormick has collected a hit in three of his last five games and can be used as a streamer while swinging a hot bat.
