Charlie Blackmon Makes Fourth All-Star Game
5 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon was deservedly elected to his fourth All-Star game on Sunday. The announcement was made after Blackmon homered in Colorado's loss to the Dodgers, giving him 20 home runs before the All-Star break. Blackmon was a bit of a shoo-in for the team, as he's put together a stellar first half of the season. He's hitting .337 with 20 home runs, 20 doubles, 56 RBI, 65 runs scored, and two stolen bases, numbers that are eerily similar to teammate Nolan Arenado's. He's also set a major league record for most hits in a four-game series, and he tied a modern-day record by stringing together three four-hit games in a row.
