Channing Frye Provides A Scoring Punch Off the Bench
7 years agoCleveland Cavaliers forward/center Channing Frye delivered a season-high 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and connected on four threes on the night that Kevin Love suffered a fracture in his left hand. With Love expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks, the sharp-shooting veteran should see minutes in the 20s on most nights, regardless if he starts or not. He doesn't quite provide the consistent scoring and prolific rebounding that Love displays on a nightly basis, but Frye should help his team simply by spacing the floor with his shooting. However, he should only be rostered in 14-team leagues and up, because he doesn't provide much aside from three-point shooting.
