Chad Bettis Mows Down Nationals
7 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Chad Bettis continued his hot start on Thursday by flying through the Washington Nationals. The cancer survivor made quick work of the Nats as he turned in seven innings while only allowing one run on three hits and two walks. Bettis struck out five and lowered his ERA to 2.04. Owners should always be cautious of Colorado pitchers due to their home park, but they should be particularly leery of Bettis since his success is coming on the back of a 6.11 K/9 and 93.4% strand rate. A correction will be coming soon, and while Bettis will always be a feel-good story, he's not a terribly valuable fantasy asset.
